Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
When I started #TwoDoTuesday, I knew “pray continually” would be one of my first posts—as it may be the most important “to do.” I know, I know. It’s not Jesus’s greatest “to do” commandment to “love God,” or even the second, “love neighbors.” But I figure if I nail these two little words, I am better able to nail the greatest commandment and to: “do justly” or “love mercy” or “walk humbly” or whatever the Lord requires of me.* Praying continually is the catalyst that allows me to live out any bible-based “to do,” because the strength to accomplish right living never has, and never will, come from me.

#TwoDoTuesday: Two words to meditate on. Two words to imprint on your heart. Two words to do.
