Meet Jack

Meet Jack the Meerkat.

He thinks being like other animals will make him happy.

“I want your smile, Crocodile.

Kids love your pointy chin.

If it were mine,

they’d stand in line

and wait for me to grin.”

“On second thought…

maybe not.”

I wrote Jack’s humorous tale, I Want Your Smile, Crocodile, with three scriptures in mind:

• Genesis 1:31a   (NIV)   ~ “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.”                 
• Exodus  20:17b (MSG)  ~ “Don’t set your heart on anything that is your neighbor’s.”           
• Psalm 139:14    (NIV)   ~ “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
  

My prayer is that, like Jack, readers realize “God’s great heart designed each part” of them: miraculously, purposefully, and uniquely.
